It is deeply heartbreaking to report that Amahle Mtshali, a 13-year-old girl, was fatally stabbed by her 15-year-old boyfriend. The incident occurred in the afternoon while Amahle was visiting her boyfriend’s home.

Reports say the argument began after the deceased received a WhatsApp message, which sparked a dispute between the two. The boyfriend reportedly refused to hand over his phone to Amahle, which escalated into violence. He then stabbed her with a knife, causing severe bleeding.

When the boy saw Amahle was seriously injured and bleeding heavily, he rushed to call his parents at their larger home. They quickly came and found Amahle had already passed away.

Following the tragedy, the boy’s parents went to inform Amahle’s family about what had happened. This led to a heated confrontation, during which the boy’s father was physically assaulted in front of his wife.

Amahle’s family demands that the boy be held accountable and sentenced to prison for his actions. However, the boy’s parents have requested a peaceful resolution, believing their son did not intend to kill Amahle but may have been trying to scare her. They emphasize that he should face consequences but be given some leniency, noting he is a respectful child who was doing well in school and had a promising future. They also mention that he was friendly and well-liked.

Additionally, the boy’s family stated that if reconciliation is possible, they are willing to cover all funeral expenses.

This tragic event serves as a painful reminder of the dangers of escalated conflicts among young people and the urgent need for calm communication to prevent such heartbreaking outcomes.
