Reality TV personality Siyacela Dlamuka, best known for his appearance on the Moja Love show Isencane Lengane, is reportedly recovering after being involved in a serious car accident near Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal.
According to sources close to the situation, the accident occurred on Friday night. Siyacela was traveling in a Volkswagen Polo when the crash took place. The vehicle was severely damaged in the incident, with images shared by Siyacela himself showing the mangled car wreck and visible blood stains—evidence of how traumatic the incident was.
Attempts to reach Siyacela for comment were unsuccessful by the time of publication. However, someone with knowledge of the matter told Isolezwe that the reality star sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Ballito immediately after the crash.
“The Polo he was in was completely wrecked. He was taken to Ballito Hospital in critical condition,” the source revealed. Interestingly, despite his injuries, Siyacela reportedly did not want to remain at the hospital. The source added, “It looks like the stress and pressure he’s been under lately are affecting his judgment. He fled from the hospital and returned to his home, even though he clearly needed medical care.”
After refusing treatment in Ballito, he was later taken to Nkonjeni Hospital, which is closer to his family home. However, he again chose to leave and recover at home instead of staying under professional supervision. Those close to him are reportedly concerned about his physical and emotional well-being, especially considering his recent public behavior.
Siyacela has been making headlines in recent weeks for more than just his health. His name has been trending on social media after an episode of Isencane Lengane aired, showing a confrontation between him and his father-in-law, Thabethe. The heated exchange escalated to physical violence, shocking viewers and sparking public backlash. The pair reportedly threatened each other during the altercation, leaving fans worried about the star’s emotional state.
Moja Love, the channel that airs Isencane Lengane, has yet to issue an official statement on the accident or Siyacela’s current condition. When reached for comment, Moja Love spokesperson Nonzwakazi Cekete said he was in a meeting and could not respond at the time. No further updates were received before press time.
The channel recently came under scrutiny after fans criticized them for airing violent and personal scenes involving Siyacela and his family. Moja Love defended their editorial choices, stating that the show reflects real-life situations and was not intended to exploit anyone.
As fans await an update on his recovery, many have taken to social media to send their prayers and well-wishes to Siyacela. The incident has reignited discussions about the mental health challenges faced by reality TV stars, especially those in the public eye from a young age.
